I used to be a Starbuck fan. Ok..I was a Starbucks addict to put it lightly. There's nothing better than deplorable customer service to help one shake an addiction. I normally go to the Starbucks on 23 Mile Rd. and M-53. However I was on Hall Rd. and decided to stop at this Starbucks. Big mistake. Not only did they mess up my drink, but the barista was very rude and non-apologetic for making my drink totally wrong. I even contacted their area manager and that too was a bad experience. No follow up. I'm still waiting on my Starbucks gift card........6 months later.

I do not like giving bad reviews but this place has never impressed. Sometimes you get an employee in a good mood. Most of the time you don't. Once, I ordered a iced vanilla latte. The barista made me a hot latte. I considered drinking it but really wanted my iced drink so I said something. She asked if I would drink the hot beverage and I said no. So she immediately turned around and threw a $6 drink in the trash. I was flabbergasted. She could have just put it over ice for me. Or I could have given it to someone. Had I had the time to react, I would have tried to stop her. The one experience aside, I really do not like Starbucks. There's better coffee out there (Caribou). The beans here taste burnt to me. I'm not lactose intolerant but when I come here with friends, I always order a drink with soy. It helps mask the flavor.

This location is a big disappointment to us, we just moved to 48038 from Chicago(Lakeview) after 6 yrs. we had 5 starbucks walking distance from our place and they all had great dark roast. I've now been here 6-7 times and the dark roast is always WEAK and half the time luke warm. The drive through is the slowest ever and some of the staff are not the friendliest, gonna start going to Partridge Creek instead and hope they have better dark roast. This location is mismanaged in my opinion.

One of the better Starbucks I've been to. I go here often so they remember me and are very friendly. I use the app so I get freebies often and I don't have to pull out credit card. The new reserve coffees on the clover are amazing.

If I could give this Starbucks no stars I would! I was very I un-pleased with their service. I was there yesterday and around 5:00 and ordered a green tea frappe. I told the cashier I wanted a large one with one squirt of the sugar sweetener. I watched her make it and she put four, when I confronted her with it she got an attitude and told me I wasn't specific and thought I meant the green tea powder. Does this girl not know that I know how this frappe is made? It only consists of green tea matcha, milk, ice and sweetener syrup(sometimes vanilla). She said she can remake it but said to be more specific next time. Excuse me? Obviously this employee hates her job because I was very specific! I felt bullied and won't be going there ever again. I can take my business to the Starbucks at lakeside mall right across the street.

It was nice to get my starbucks fix while visiting the Detroit area this past weekend. Happily, I am traveling w/ a friend who is obsessed. She had a mocha frappuchino w/ an extra shot of espresso, while I had a medium-sized passion fruit ice tea. Both were highly appreciated since it was humid and yuck outside.

I have a problem with the the low reviews when some folks claim this Starbucks is too crowded. If it's crowded that means people like going. If people like going that means they like the coffee and service. It's like giving a rock band 1/5 stars because their show sold out and you couldn't find a good seat. Clearly those people that gave the low reviews are unhappy with other aspects of their lives so they take it out on here. Stop whining. My review: I personally like this place a lot on weekends. I don't mind all the people because I like people-watching. Sitting outside in the summer is a treat also. Granted, the outdoor seating environment tends to get overrun with foreigners who smoke a lot but all-in-all I enjoy the atmosphere.

This location is consistently busy and far from the traditional Starbucks experience. If you're a laptop user or looking for a quiet place for a conversation, this is NOT your Starbucks. To be fair, my gripe is about the customers (a mix of people, but many teenagers as well), and not about the staff. The problem is that most Starbucks are not designed to handle these kinds of large crowds. Located at the end of a strip mall, the parking is crammed in there. With few other options opened late, this becomes the defacto destination for people that don't turn into pumpkins at 10pm. If you have several friends and want to hang out, show up early. Even with many tables and outdoor seating, I've gone several times where there is no seating at all. I have to wonder how much better this might do in the Lakeside parking lot, since the space is a little bit cramped. Avoid it unless you really NEED a caffeine fix. Tip: There is a Starbucks counter (bigger than a kiosk, but smaller than a full location) on the upper level in Macy's in Lakeside Mall, across Hall Rd. Although it lacks the coffeehouse atmosphere, they carry almost all the same drinks. There are virtually no signs that let you know it's there until you're in Macy's. It is my secret weapon when I go Christmas shopping. If you don't mind shopping & sipping, this is a better option on busy days.

Chaper 1: Starbucks coffee SUCKS. Chapter 2: Confused-Distraught-Shocked would be a few words that come to mind when I think of the general population's love for Starbucks. I don't quite get it but I have learned to live with it. The coffee personally feels burnt and the mixed drinks are just sugar + lots and lots and lottsss of ice and a dash of whipped cream Chapter 3: The only reason this place gets uno star is because it does have outdoor seating and I think that's pretty awesome. Ugh carelessness aggravates me. Ordered a cold brew, paid for a cold brew, and then was told that they were out of cold brew and asked if I would like an iced coffee instead. The person at the cash register should know this so they are not charging people the wrong price.

It's Starbucks... Unless the place is COMPLETELY mismanaged, what's to review? Staff... Friendly, as usual. Coffee... Delicious, as usual. Dining room... Clean, plenty of seating. Music... Acceptable decibel level (can't say the same about some of the other locations).
